this year I forgot to write a birthday post. I haven’t been up to posting lately, although I’ve been busy with a lot on my plate.
I hope you have been well. Alice is a character in my new story Deathloop. And she’s not the only one. I also have another character named Alice in my current story, The Last Days of Eve. And in my new story The End of Everything, another character named Alice is one of the main characters.
I just wanted to let you know that I am finally going to be doing an Alice in my new story Deathloop. And as of right now, there are only two lines of dialog in it, so I’m going to have to make it an audio-only file. I’ll be adding lots more in the next weeks. Thank you again for stopping by.
I know this is going to turn some people off. But honestly, I don’t like her because she doesn’t fit the mold of a heroine. And she has a bunch of other superpowers too, so I don’t know why I should care.
That is kind of the point. Alice is a heroine because she is a heroine. A hero is someone who can protect others, be a good father, and have a good life. A heroine is someone who is capable of doing all these things but doesnt.
It’s hard to tell which of these definitions really applies to Alice. Sure, she has the ability to be both a hero and a heroine, but the only reason she’s a hero is because she is a hero. She has the superpowers, but she uses them to protect others, not to save the world. She’s not a good guy, and she’s not a bad guy, and she’s not a hero by accident. Her story is a complicated one.
All these definitions are true, but I think it would be more accurate to say that Alice is a good and a bad guy. She can be a good guy at times and a bad guy at others. She can be a hero at times, and a villain at others. She can also be good and bad at the same time.
Alice is a good and a bad guy. Most of us would agree that that is an oversimplification, but Alice has a complicated relationship with the world. On the one hand she is a part of the community that makes up the world, but she is also an outsider. Because she doesn’t belong, even to the community, she’s forced to live a dual life. She is a good and bad guy in her own way.
The good and bad Alice stories are only slightly related in that Alice is a kind of “bad” Alice, but they are related in the same way that the good and bad Alice stories are related. Alice is an “other” in the sense that she is a person who does not fit neatly into the worlds we know and love.
We can all relate to Alice, and we should. But we should also remember that Alice is just as likely to be a good, kind, and caring person as she is a bad and evil one.
