A couple of weeks ago, I was enjoying a good cup of coffee (as is my habit). I was thinking about one of my favorite shows, “Big Little Lies,” which I’ve been quite fond of since season 1. The episode starts with two women (played by Emmy nominated actresses Amy Brenneman and Emily Deschanel) shopping for a wedding and then deciding that they’re not interested in the ceremony or the wedding dress.
I can’t believe how many times I have watched this show, and how many times I have rewatched it. I watched it on TV about 12 times in the first season alone. I’ve watched it about 7 times since then. It’s a show that has its fair share of flaws, but it is also a show that is, in my opinion, one of the best shows Ive ever seen on TV.
It’s also a show that seems to be very aware of its audience. You can tell it cares about what its viewers think about it. In fact, if you are a fan of a show like Breaking Bad, you will definitely find this scene a lot more relatable than it normally is. It is one of those shows that you dont have to feel bad for the characters to be likable, and it is a show that seems to be a bit of a parody of itself.
I am not complaining about the show itself, for what it is, it is genuinely good. As I said before, it is one of those shows that is more relatable than it usually is, because it is actually showing off the characters.
